Natural Gas Grills - Caring and Maintenance...
Gas grills are comparatively easy to maintain, with certain tools such as brass wire grill brush, soap-embedded fine steel wood pads, mild dish soap, sponge or dish cloth, one putty knife, and a fitted foil catch pan liner your griller needs for quick, easy, regular cleanups for a hassle free performance.
A few steps after the gas is turned off and the grill becomes cool, cleaning can lead to better performance in gas grill. Moreover clearing the blockages in the burner that restricts the gas flow eventually prevents lightning of the igniter and therefore it is important to clean them and brush the port holes with a wire mesh of stainless steel or with a steel brush moving up and down.
Many gas grills contain a Flavorizer bar which helps in distribution of heat and to help prevent flares up. To clean them simply turn your gas grill button on high and allow the residue to burn off. -

Do some brushing off the bars with the help of a grill brush or using a scrape and a knife. Wipe the dirt with the rag using warm water and soap. Thoroughly clean up the warm racks using soapy water and steel wool pad. This would result in keeping warming racks as well as grill baskets clean, smoke free stains and debris. Gently rub and then thoroughly rinse these racks.
One should also carefully scrape on the inner side of the grill using a knife, and take out the burnt residue from the bottom of the hole, check the pan liner regularly or if required replace it in a month or as and when required.
One needs to clean the grease drippings that fall on exterior surfaces with mild water of soap. It is advised not to use an abrasive lemon based cleaner as it will result in scratches on the stainless steel or will result in removal of the paint finish.
